Sygnology

Sygnology

About

Founded in 2013, Sygnology has worked to provide strategic advantages to our clients that are simply not available to our competitors. We analyze analog signals on clients’ equipment (current, voltage, pressure, etc) to identify where problems may exist that aren’t yet obvious by using our unique remote access formula to monitor your systems and equipment anywhere in the world. While Sygnology has thus far worked predominantly in oil and gas, our technology can be applied to nearly any field.

Our Team

Dr. T.E. Riemer, Phd EE

Chief Executive Officer

Dr TE Riemer

Terry builds on over 51 years of engineering experience in the areas of Electronics (Analog and Digital), Communications Systems Design (Analog and Digital), and Digital Signal Processing (including Audio, Image, and Data) to inform Sygnology’s signal technology research and development along with signal design, coding, decoding, identification and classification. Dr. Riemer currently works for SHELL Oil and Gas Production Upstream Americas as a contractor in the areas of Digital Signal Processing, including algorithm design. In addition, Terry has over 5 years of experience in offshore rotating equipment, valves and pipelines and 2 years’ experience working for TEXACO Research and Development Lab applying image processing techniques in locating oil in geophysical structures. Dr. Riemer holds a BS EE from Tulane University, an MS EE from Tulane University in Signal Processing, and a PhD EE from Purdue University specializing in Digital Signal Processing. At Purdue University, he gained 3 years' experience working at The Laboratory for the Application of Remote Sensing (LARS) developing a Digital Image Resolution Enhancement Algorithm for Satellite Image Processing. Dr. Riemer has a culmination of over 40 years’ experience developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and labs at the university level.
